![]() click on any picture to see full size... I had the original stock body shipped straight to Wisbech Engineering were they weaved their magic in the form of a full round tube space frame chassis. The running height was set at around 3" all round, running on 18" Antera's with Bridgestone S0-1 tires, although a move to 20" diameter may be in the works. Here are the highlights of the parts used: Corvette limited slip differential. adapted to use Jaguar U.J.'s and extra thick custom made half shafts. click on these pictures, they are BIG! All this was done cos I'm going to be club circuit "racing" the car (actually sprints where 3-4 cars do 1 or 2 laps of a circuit starting 10 seconds apart, so if you go off it's your fault, not like racing!). I built the engine (my first) which is a bored/stroked 350 small block Chevy (now 383ci), with Dart II Sportsman+ aluminum heads (2.055"/1.60"), roller lifters and rockers, 650cfm Holley double pumper, blah, blah. It also uses a Moroso dry sump pump (dry sumped to get the engine low as well as the improved reliability). I designed an aluminum tank that combines water and oil reservoirs that fits on the bulkhead, but to be honest it didn't work very well. I'll probably go back to using a standard Moroso oil tank "sunk" into the bulkhead. All the parts were suggested by ace engine builder Steve Napier and were chosen to produce 400-450bhp. The engine is designed to rev to 7,500 and be bulletproof! I wired the car from start to finish using some large coils of wire I "acquired" from a company I used to work for. Since reliability is more important to me than weight saving (I'd lay off the chocolate if that were important), I've used 10 gauge wire throughout. | ||
