The concept...   ...The reality (April 99)

It all started in 1993. I had just got divorced and was looking forward to starting the hot rod of my dreams! So I started buying parts. My intention was to build a stylish one-of-a-kind hot rod that would still be faster around the track than my GT40 was. That's still the intention, seven years later...(actually, there's been a new wife, two new kids, four new houses and a change of country since I started this, so I don't think I'm doing too bad to get this done in that time!)

Here are the main topics:

• The dusty bits (the development of a one-off swoopy body for the car), and
• The grubby bits (the development of the chassis, suspension and engine).
• The famous bits (the Custom Car magazine article).
